INDIANAPOLIS, February 5, 2018 – Mr. Blair Vandivier, President and CEO of Asterion, LLC has been selected for the Finishing Hall of Fame, a program developed by Products Finishing magazine. The program recognizes, “those individuals whose contributions to the finishing industry have been significant and impactful.”
Vandivier said, “I am truly honored and humbled to be named to the Hall amongst this year’s group of finishing pioneers which I have admired and respected throughout my entire career. I am also grateful and share this award with the Asterion team that helped make this distinction possible.”
Vandivier was previously named a National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF) Fellow in 2016. The fellowship recognizes significant and lasting contributions through leadership and dedicated service to the association and the surface finishing industry.
In 2008 Vandivier received the Silvio C. Taormina Memorial Award, the NASF’s most prestigious individual honor for exemplary service and invaluable contributions to the advancement of the surface finishing industry. He also received the Metal Finishing Suppliers’ Association (MFSA) August P. Munning Commemorative Award for his years of faithful service and many accomplishments to the MFSA and the finishing industry. Vandivier was a former member of the NASF Board of Directors (2012-2015), and also served as Chairman of the Supplier Committee (2010-2015). He is a NASF Order of Past Presidents member.
Vandivier and his fellow inductees will be honored at the NASF SUR/FIN tradeshow and conference in June.
